About Us

This store was created so that physical media lovers could find a place to purchase quality products from a trusted seller. Vinyl Kitchen has been selling to buyers on Trademe for over 5 years. This website has expanded to offer items that are not available on Trademe.

Our shopping cart and payment processing are protected by our merchant processor to guarantee that all the data you transmit to us will be encrypted.

Shipping

They are first cleaned with a Spin Clean, then with an Ultrasonic Cleaner. This process vastly improves the sound quality. Finally to remove any remaining dust they are dry vacuumed and placed in a brand new inner sleeve. Extra care is given to packing, the record is removed from the cover to stop seam splits. Sturdy boxes and bubble wrap is used to ensure safe delivery. Tracking is provided on all purchases. Shipping is with NZ Post (residential, rural and P.O Boxes) 

Currently we ship to New Zealand and Australia, there are plans in the future to add more countries. If you would like to discuss a custom order overseas please feel free to email sales@vinylkitchen.co.nz and a solution is usually possible.

NZ Post aims to deliver purchases within 2 days in the North Island and 3-4 in the South Island, rural times vary. We have had consistantly good feedback from customers on the speed of their deliveries.

Shipping costs vary depending on your location. You can find a shipping quote while you are in checkout mode.

Free shipping is offered for orders $100 and over.

Yes! If you add more than one product the total shipping cost will be recalculated. The cost is .75 cents per item. There is a limit to how many times this is charged. Currently this applies to 3 purchases. If you order more than 3 items there will be no additional shipping cost.

Rewards Program

When you create a customer account and purchase a product you get credited points. These points can be redeemed at any time to save you money on your next purchase.

Sign into your account. This can be found at the top of the page in the menu section. You can click on the My Rewards link to access your points balance.

Once you have logged into your account and are on your account page simply view your rewards section and click on Redeem. You can then apply this discount to your purchase or copy the code to use on a future purchase.

Wishlist

Log into your account. This can be found at the top of the page in the menu section. You can then click on the heart icon at the top menu to view your wishlist.

This will show you your account details and the wishlist section can be found there.

Product

Unless otherwise stated the DVDs are region 4 and all blu rays are Region B or region free. If a DVD is region 1 or 2 it will be stated in the blurb and you will be required to have a multi region player to view it. Occassionally DVDs that are rated region free in the blurb will have a region 2 or 1 icon on the slip but have been tested and play fine on a standard NZ player. If you are not sure please use the contact page or help bubble to ask any questions.

Region codes on DVDs and Blu-rays control distribution, specifying where they can be sold and played. Checking the region code ensures compatibility with your player, preventing playback issues.

DVDs

Region 1 DVDs
Mainly the United States and Canada.
Not compatible with most New Zealand DVD players.

Region 2 DVDs
Mainly Europe, including the UK.
Not usually compatible with New Zealand DVD players.

Region 4 DVDs
Designed for Australasia, including New Zealand.

Blu-rays

Region A Blu-rays
Mainly the United States and Canada.
Not compatible with most New Zealand Blu-ray players.

Region B Blu-rays
Mainly Europe, including the UK.
Compatible with New Zealand Blu-ray players.

Region C Blu-rays
Mainly Asia, Africa, and South America.
Check your player; some New Zealand Blu-ray players may handle these.

Tip for Customers
Check the region code. Look for the region code in the blurb. For New Zealand, Region 4 is suitable for DVDs, and for Blu-rays, it's Region B. Region free will play too. If you aren't sure look up your player model online and you can confirm there.

Policies

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
